Great things can happen when emerging leaders have the chance to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries. In their pursuit of state-level excellence, the Illinois Health & Hospital Association partnered with Rush to co-develop a Leadership Academy for Healthcare Transformation (LAHT). The curriculum was designed around the seven disciplines described in Healing our Future, with a particular emphasis on concepts introduced in the Transformation chapter.
Results:
- Three cohorts of learners participated in the program over its three-year lifetime.
- Over 50 applied learning projects were mentored in organizational change and process improvement.
- Participant satisfaction levels were among the highest of any leadership program provided by either institution.
